Though indistinguishable from Ghouls in appearance, the “Vitamin Defectives” of Vault 125 are created when a vitamin sample somehow gets contaminated, but no one knows as to what the contaminate is (the doctors in the medical labs usually clam “improper cleaning of one the machines”). Whatever the cause, the end result is almost exactly like that of what the rest of the world would call a ghoul. The vault ghouls however, arn’t as resistant to radiation as normal ghouls, or as hardy, but neither are they as weak, and they retain better dexterity and speed.
