Perks and Traits as Qualities and Drawbacks
Originally borrowed from Post Apocalyptia and then modified (or in some cases removed) to fit my game.
Black Widow/Lady Killer
+5 to damage rolls and +1 to speech rolls against the opposite sex.
Cherchez La Femme/Confirmed Bachelor
+5 to damage rolls and +1 to speech rolls against the same sex.
Friend of the Night
+1 to perception rolls at night or in low light. Can only be taken once.
+3 damage to thrown weapons. STR of 5 or higher required. Can only be taken once.
+5 damage against animals/mutated animals. Can only be taken once.
3-point quality (At character creation)
May only be taken once per attribute (Before or after character creation)
+1 to any attribute.
After character creation this perk costs 7 experience points, 14 experience if that raises the stat to 6.
Note that this perk is in addition to the normal ability to raise an attribute once. So combining the two can raise each attribute by 2 points during the life of the character.
One may eat the flesh of another human being to regain LP, but suffers a -3 charisma penalty for several hours after. More so, some people can just “sense” something off about you. Can only be taken once.
One may put 2 skill levels into any skill. Can only be taken once.
+5 damage to any insects. INT of 4 or higher required. Can only be taken once.
+5 to damage with explosives. INT of 3 and Explosives of 4 is required. Can only be taken once.
+1 to attack rolls with a one-handed weapons. Guns of 2 required. Can only be taken once.
One can reload used shells from weapons to reuse later. Repair of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
+3 damage when using a shotgun. Guns of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
+8 damage to “sneak attacks” using a revolver, pistol, or sub-machine gun. Crime or 3 and Guns of 2 required. Can only be taken once.
One can reload energy weapon cells to reuse later. Repair of 3 and Science of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
+4 damage done by dynamite, hatchets, knives, revolvers, and lever-action guns. Guns of 3 and Melee of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
-2 to any damage done because of radiation poisoning. CON of 5 required. Can only be taken once.
Find more ammo in containers. Can only be taken once.
-8 damage done by melee and unarmed attacks and cannot be knocked down in combat. STR of 5 and END of 5 required. Can only be taken once.
+2 to any Speech rolls to intimidate. Speech of 3 required. Can only be taken once without penalty. If taken more than once, then take -2 penalty when trying use speech to not intimidate per rank after 1.
One can roll a INT+Animal Handling roll to make animals stop attacking or have animals help in a fight. (Only works on “wild” animals) Can only be taken once.
With the use of a pip-boy or other targeting system gain a +3 to your roll when aiming. Science of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
When one reaches less than 15 LP, their STR gains a temporary 2 points. INT of 5 required. Can only be taken once.
At night one gets +1 to INT and PER.
One gains a +2 to attack rolls with plasma weapons. Energy Weapons of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
One gets +3 more LP when using stimpaks. CON of 4 required. Can only be taken once.
One can feed on the flesh of ghouls and super mutants to regain LP but gains a -5 charisma for several hours afterwords. Requires Cannibal quality. Can only be taken once.
Unarmed attacks apply against half the targets normal armor. Can only be taken once.
+5 to fire damage. Can only be taken once.
+5 damage to robots and +5 to repair or shut down robots. Science of 3 and Repair of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
Chems last twice as long as normal. Science OR Medicine of 3 required. Can only be taken once.
One can repair items with similar items rather than having to have the specific parts needed. Repair of 4 required. Can only be taken once.
Only half as likely to develop an addiction to chems. Can only be taken once.
Spending a vats point makes an unarmed attack stun the opponent for one round. Unarmed of 4 required. Can only be taken once.
+1 STR and +10 LP when outside and in the sun. Can only be taken once.
+5 damage when using a laser weapon. Can only be taken once.
Spray ‘n Pray
-3 to attack rolls when shooting a shotgun towards an ally and -5 damage if one still hits. Can only be taken once.
-1 rad per 30 seconds. CON of 5 required. Can only be taken once.
-2 PER when not wearing glasses or prescription goggles.
Increases Speech, Medicine, Repair, and Science skills by 2, but decreases Guns, Melee, Energy Weapons, Explosives, and Unarmed by 2. If that makes the skill negative, then one takes that as a penalty when making such rolls.
+1 DEX, but limbs take +4 to all types of damage.
Child at Heart
+2 to Speech rolls made against children. Can not be taken with Teenager quality. Can only be taken once.
Drinking blood from a person or blood pack restores LP.
Power Armor Training (Requires GM permission at character generation)
One can use power armor of any kind.
